Coccinellidae
April to September
Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan
It is around 3~5-millimeter-long. It has a pair of black and round patterns in a white ground on head and back of thorax each. It is very tiny and elytra are typical yellow, which makes it easily distinguished from other ladybugs.
Unlike other ladybugs feeding on aphid, they eat plant pathogenic fungi such as podosphaera xanthii. Imagoes usually move around leaves of trees of heaven (ailanthus altissima) as well as pumpkin flowers or crops.
