    It is around 8∼13-millimeter-long. It has black body covered with dense yellow fur, and three yellow horizontal patterns in elytra. The middle of the front part of clypeus is dug and the sides are crooked downwards. Its elytra have dense yellow fur with three wide dark brown stripes on the surface, and the widest is the one at the end of the wings. The abdomen of males is short in the last segment with tail plate which is narrow and long but high in the middle. Females have swollen abdomen and is wide and long in the last segment, and its tail plate is round.

    They move towards flowers in the forest or grass. Larvae live on the woody parts of dead trees.
