They have relatively short and plump body compared to other species of the same family of phasmatidae. Its antennas are long enough to reach at more than half the body. Fore wings are narrow and long, and hind wings are folded just like a fan with pink patterns.
Females usually lay their eggs through parthenogenesis without mating. They survive winter as eggs and emerge once a year.
