It is around 20~26-millimeter-long. They have brown or dark brown body with big head whose end is being narrowed to the inside. The hind wings are tail shape, and ovipositor is a little crooked and very long. The legs are mostly one-colored.
They are omnivores, and usually discovered in grass or fields in summer, wet and dark warehouse, toilet or boiler room. Males live in holes in the ground where they attract females by making beautiful sound through getting their wings straightened up.
