It is around 15~20-millimeter-long. It has blackish brown body, and yellowish brown antennas, pronotum, exposed parts of both hind wings, tibia, and tarsus. There is semi-circular groove in the middle of pronotum, and light horizontal lines on the back. They have reddish brown fore wings and patterns on the hind wings when they are spread. Chelae of males are arched being stretched in a long way with small process, and females’ ones do not have teeth but straight.
They usually inhabit in cracks between the barks of trees or leaves, or in flowers. They feed on small insects by moving around tree branches, bindweed or tall grass. They lay their eggs in burrows in the ground.
