Mantidae
Imagoes, August to October
Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan
It is around 40~70-millimeter-long. It usually has green but rarely brown body. Its head and fore legs are large compared to the body length, so they entirely look pudgy. The fore wings have a pair of white spots, and coxae of fore legs are long with yellow three to four processes in the front edge.
They inhabit near where humans live and live on other insects. Females lay their eggs covered with wax lipid secretion in branches or rocks. They survive winter as eggs.
