    It is around 13~20-millimeter-long. It has black body, and a small and protruding forehead. The antennas are dark brown, and legs are long in black and light gray color partly. Wing are transparent and brown. The first and the second segments of the abdomen is transparent white.

  • ecology

    Imagoes can easily be observed near water, filth, toilet and food waste. They usually inhabit in dirty or insanitary areas but imagoes do not forge for food, so they are harmless to humans. Larvae usually live on organic materials such as muck or food waste. The larvae are greatly useful for degrading organic materials, so it is used for the composting industry by applying food waste.
