  • ecology

The butterflies emerge once a year and inhabit in sunny places at the edge of forest with bushy copse. They are widely spread compared to erebia cyclopius. They usually sunbathe by spreading their wings, so they often sit in leaves or branches. At this moment, they move little by little, and spread and fold their wings repeatedly by making a bigger move. They tend to fly towards flowers of sporaeaa (bridal wreath) and slender-leaf mock orange (philadelphus tenuifolius).
